Meet Our Founder

My chromatography journey started in 1987, in graduate school at Concordia University. Research in ion chromatography on an ancient Waters HPLC led me to dedicating my work life to this craft and the eventual birth of ALPHA-1 Laboratory Solutions in 1999. Working for both Waters and HP/Agilent for nine years prior to ALPHA-1 opened my eyes to the possibility of a “customer-first focused” third-party chromatography service/support provider. Customers needed affordable services and better response times. Founded on these principles, ALPHA-1 has been providing the best service per cost in the industry for over twenty-five years. In today’s world, quality is not just what you deliver to your customer face-to-face but also all the processes that occur in the background. Recognizing this, ALPHA-1 is ISO 9001:2015 certified for our service and support business.

Charity and caring for those around us and the world we live in are values we embrace. ALPHA-1 prides itself on charitable endeavors for our youth, tomorrow’s leaders. Our recycling program provides our customers with environmentally friendly ways to address their aging equipment. ALPHA-1 can reuse these instruments by refurbishing them and reselling them. In the event an instrument has no resale value, we promise to break it down to the parts level and dispose of it ethically through local municipal recycling programs. This guarantees that your electronic waste will not end up in a landfill.
