Waters Acquity

Waters Acquity
The Waters Acquity was the first commercially available UPLC (Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatograph). The advantages of UPLC over traditional HPLC systems is that it can run at pressures as high as 15000 PSI, which is much higher than regular HPLC systems. These systems can use sub 2 um particle size columns, which allows for increased resolution and decreased run times. This increases sample throughput and reduces solvent consumption. Waters Acquity, including the H-class, comes standard with a variety of detectors, including TUV, PDA, FLD, and RI. These low-flow instruments are ideal for interfacing with both SQD (single quad detectors) and TQD (Triple Quad Detectors).
